Day by day
Pick-up from your Casablanca hotel or the airport, with a stop at the Hassan II Mosque exterior — one of the largest mosques in the world, built directly on the Atlantic. Continue to Rabat for the afternoon: the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower, and the Mohammed V Mausoleum. Overnight in Rabat.

Morning drive east through Meknes, with an optional stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis, before arriving in Fes by early afternoon. Check in and take a first orientation walk into the medina as the afternoon light hits the gates of Bab Boujloud.

A full day exploring the largest car-free urban area in the world: the Chouara tannery, the Al-Qarawiyyin (the oldest continuously operating university), the Nejjarine fondouk, and the maze of souks. Your guide knows the medina well enough to avoid the worst of the tourist-trail crowding.

Long but spectacular drive south through the Middle Atlas cedar forests around Ifrane, then down into the Ziz Valley's palm groves. Arrive Merzouga by late afternoon for a sunset camel trek into Erg Chebbi and dinner at your desert camp under the stars.

Early sunrise dune climb, then a long drive west via Tinjdad and the Dades Valley to Aït Benhaddou, Morocco's best-known kasbah, for a walk through the ksar. Cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass in the late afternoon, arriving Marrakech by evening.
